Data Maps

The core concept of Data Map Studio: a visual, local map of your schema.

What a Data Map is

A Data Map is a local map of tables, columns, and relationships from your connected databases. It lives on your machine; nothing is uploaded to Divohne or any cloud server.

Nodes represent tables.
Lines represent relationships between tables.

Working with a map

Double-click a node to inspect its columns.
Select two nodes to compare them side by side, including relationship candidates.
Rearrange nodes so the map matches how you think about your schema.

Saving and reusing maps

Saved maps can be reused later from Saved Maps. Saving a map is also what makes working tables possible — see Working Tables.

Importing a data map file does not immediately apply it: imported maps can be reviewed before saving. That way you can check that referenced sources match what you have connected.

Free limits

Free can save one Data Map with up to 9 table nodes. Browsing tables in Direct Explore is not limited by this — see Direct Explore and Free vs Full.
